All Is Well Club

April 22nd, 2010

What would happen if, when we see signs of Global Warming, we speak the words “All is well” and see the planet as whole, renewed and prosperous as it always has been?

What if we affirm- right away – that that sign is a signal that we must change our behavior to be more in alignment with the Universe, but that ultimately all is well?

The planet – like our bodies – is a divine machine capable of constantly renewing itself even in spite of our intervention.  As more of us continue to align ourselves with our true nature as Earth Keepers, not only do we make life easier for ourselves, we eliminate the need for the planet to signal us to change our behavior.  What we’re experiencing is the same thing that happens in our dreams – every so often, your higher mind needs to warn you to pay more attention to the choices you are making.  So a dream you might not normally remember the next morning appears to you as a frightening nightmare or puzzling image; ultimately, the dream is a loving, if not forceful reminder to act in a way that moves you toward your highest good.  And so it is with signs of global warming.

Am I saying that signs of global warming are not to be heeded?  Of course not!  I AM saying that if we affirm that all is well – to any situation – in our lives or on the planet – and we hold the vision that “all is well”…and align our behavior with our affirmation, that is what it will be.

How many times have you caught yourself confrming that you will have a bad day because it started out with a coffee spill on the drive to work or with some other unexpected surprise?  And did the day get worse from there?  It probably went from bad to worse because that’s the vision you held for that day…unless you changed your mind.

And so when we see signs of global warming, or unexpected surprises like coffee spills or more serious occurrences, let us affirm “all is well,” see a picture of wholeness, renewal and prosperity and know that it will be.

Look for more information in the coming weeks about the paradigm shift to All is Well.  I believe it is a way to speed the appearance of wholeness, renewal and prosperity in our lives and on the planet.  I invite you to join me in seeing it become the reality for us all.

Spring Cleaning? Break Out of Your Comfort Zone!

April 13th, 2010

No matter where you live, you’ve probably had enough warm days strung together to inspire you to start pulling out Spring clothes even if you’re not quite ready to put away the winter stuff.  In Atlanta, we’ve had 70 degree weather since the first day of Spring…and outrageous pollen to go with.

As you start your Spring cleaning, I encourage you to donate all of your old clothes, the ones you’ve outgrown – even though I’m sure you’ll lose the weight, and the nice pieces that you just don’t see yourself wearing this season.  Bless them all and release them to someone who will appreciate them and wear them.  It’s not just good for your closet, its good for your soul.  When you donate  clothes – especially nice clothes, you’re telling the universe that you have plenty and you love to share because you have an endless supply – but I’ll tackle that subject in my new series, The All Is Well Club.

If you’re like most people, you’d never think of donating old cleaning rags, well-worn underwear, towels and clothes that have sprung leaks in them :)   Break out of your comfort zone and donate those to Goodwill or to your thrift store as well; if you throw them away, they’ll end up in the landfill where they’ll stay forever.

Thrift stores are usually serviced by salvage yards that send unsellables to developing countries and if they’re not fit for human use, they’re sold to seat cushion manufacturers and end up in car, truck, and boat seats.  I make that point in an uncoming video but I wanted to make that point today before most of you get heavily into Spring cleaning.

Cheers!

You Could Probably Make a Fortune by Starting a Green Lawn Care Business

March 23rd, 2010

A fortune? D'ya think?

When they do offer green lawn care in your area, large lawn care chains charge 2-3x as much for it as for their regular service. When I called S****’s a few months ago, one person told me the all natural material they spread on the lawn was “ground up insects, bones and other organic materials.” I refrained from asking “Whose bones?”

On a more recent call, I was told “probably cow manure…but we no longer offer that service in your area.”

Apparently the major challenge with green lawn care is weed killers. All natural fertilizers can be found in abundance but weed killer is a big question mark. Or is it?

I wish someone would start a green lawn care business that uses products like vinegar or other household products to kill weeds. I’m hoping this article will inspire someone to do the research and start the business. I didn’t do an extensive amount of research but here’s what I did find:

I’ve seen suggestions for eco-friendly weed killers using:

1. vinegar only

Vinegar kills weeds according to The Vinegar Institute:
       http://www.versatilevinegar.org/usesandtips.html

2. vinegar, salt and soap

3. black plastic to smother the weeds – not practical if you’re starting a business and plastic
should be from recycled materials or perhaps a castoff from painter.

4. BurnOut Weed Killer made from clove oil, vinegar and lemon juice.

And here’s a host of pesticides made from stuff like red pepper and horseradish

You could probably start without a whole lot of fuss by servicing a few of your neighbors and pick up steam from there. You may not know much about your neighbors but in every neighborhood, there are several residents who care enough about the environment to want green lawn care, they just don’t know how to publicize their desire. As a former builder, I learned that people don’t always know how to articulate their needs, but once they’re offered a green alternative, they say “Yes, that’s exactly what I was looking for.”

And of course if you were to start your business because you were inspired by what you read here, I’d go to the ends of the earth to help you promote it :)
